╜ 1993 Erin Monaco
"Child tested, Mother approved!"

Kitty on the keyboard,
Children gnawing disks;

Dads now a little... "miffed".

KITTYLCK.PRG; executable file
KITTYLCK.RSC; resolution independant resource file
KITTYLCK.DOC; this doc file
Please ensure all files are unchanged and distributed as a complete
package.
The "Kitty" Lock was written in Lattice C version 5.52. It takes
advantage of GEM and as such will not run from the auto folder or with an
extension of .TOS. The "Kitty" Lock will however, run as an .APP, .PRG
or Desk Accessory. Regardless of your choice of the above methods the user
interface remains consistant. Please ensure that the resource file is in
the same directory as the program file.
The "Kitty" Locks interface is a centered dialog box consisting of
the program name, copyright, shareware notice, version number, an exit
button and an editable text field for password entry and thats it! When
run or selected as an accessory you are presented with this dialog.
Being the father of three small children and owner of a rambunctious
kitty, I truely had no choice but to write this program. The idea is very
simple, before taking a break and leaving the computer in the middle of
a computing session I activate The "Kitty" Lock. Now while I am away from
my computer I don't have to worry about the kitty or kids playing with
the keyboard, inadvertantly adding to my documents, closing folders, etc!
Upon my return I hit escape to clear any stray characters "no pun
intended" from the text field, type "KittyLck" and press return. The
dialog disappears and I can once again resume my activities. Thats it,
simple and elegant.
So thats it, Remember, the password is "KittyLck" (Case Sensitive)
. Now compute with the knowledge that your work is now a little safer!

Neither the author nor DataBasement Software can be held responsible
for loss of data, sleep, sanity, kin, hardware, software, etc, etc due to
the use or misuse of this program. While the author has taken every
conceivable precaution to guard against your data's loss acts of God have
been known to occur! Please use this software at your own risk.
Note:
=====
At this time the author doesn't know if MultiTos's Form_do handler
allows access to AES events such as windows and the menu. If this is the
case then The "Kitty" Lock will be pretty useless on a machine using
MultiTos as the program relies on the fact that the old Form_do call
does not allow this, in effect no event processing will take place while
the Form_do call is active. (When the dialog is visable.)
Thank You, hope you enjoy yet another fine DataBasement product.
